Chief Physical Therapist, United Cerebral Palsy 1976-78

 

Founder and Director of the Parent Infant Intervention Program (Demonstration Project) Department of Pediatrics, University of Maryland School of Medicine 1978-81

Designed and developed an early intervention program for children and caregivers. Hired and supervised multi-disciplinary staff of professionals.

 

Founder and Director of Intervention with PACT (Parents and Children Together), 1981-86

Designed a center based interdisciplinary assessment and intervention program for children, age birth to five, and their parents. Developed the first mainstreamed daycare in Baltimore, MD. (In 1999, became part of The Kennedy Krieger Institute)

 

Director of the Epilepsy Foundation for the National Capital Area, 1992-98

Designed, developed and directed programs for children and adults with epilepsy and other disabilities. Facilitated groups and trained individuals to become peer counselors, models and mentors. Educated the community. Established a camp for children with epilepsy.

 

Coordinator of Support Services, Neurology Department, Children’s Hospital,1998-present

Develop programs for children with epilepsy and their parents. Assess, educate and train families with a chronically ill child. Facilitate groups. Direct a camp for children with epilepsy. Designed and direct the New Onset Seizure Clinic.
