ARTHUR
REINGOLD, M.D.
Arthur Reingold, M.D. received his
undergraduate, graduate, and medical education at the University of
Chicago. After completion of his
residency in internal medicine, Dr. Reingold joined the Epidemic Intelligence
Service (EIS) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where he
then continued to work as a medical epidemiologist. He left CDC in 1987 to join the faculty of the School of Public
Health of the University of California, Berkeley, where he is currently
Professor of Epidemiology and Head of the Division of Epidemiology. Dr. Reingold also holds appointments as
Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and Clinical Professor of Medicine
at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Reingold’s research interests primarily
focus on infectious diseases and their prevention and control in the United
States and in developing countries.
