On April 20, 1999, Eric Davis Harris and Dylan Bennet Klebold, students at Columbine High School, entered the school and began firing weapons and detonating explosive devices resulting in 15 deaths (including Harris and Klebold) and 23 injured students and teachers. Five of the injured are in critical condition. Columbine High School is located in Jefferson County, Littleton, Colorado. Harris and Klebold were armed with two sawed-off shotguns, one 9MM carbine, one Tech-9 Machine Pistol and in excess of 30 improvised explosive devices. Harris and Klebold were considered as outcasts, in other words, they didn't fit in with most of the students. They were in a group that wore long, black coats, combat boots and went by the name of "The Trench Coat Mafia."
