Byron Price was born on March 25, 1891, in Topeka, Indiana. In 1953, a loyalty investigation was done at the request of Executive Order 10422 (Loyalty of Employees of the United Nations). The investigation revealed that Byron Price was once the Bureau Chief of Associated Press at New Orleans. He was later transferred to Washington, D.C. and later, New York City. He resigned to accept Federal Government Service at the Censorship Office. He left there to work at the United Nations. He was given a favorable security determination report at the end of the investigation.
