NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARINE PRODUCTS VIA
NOAA TELEPHONE RECORDINGS

Many National Weather Service forecast offices offer recorded marine and local forecasts as found on NOAA Weather radio. These numbers may usually be found in the telephone directory white/blue pages under "United States Government"; "Commerce Department"; "National Weather Service". For further information, contact your local National Weather Service Forecast Office and see table below.

Information regarding tropical cyclone forecasts/advisories can be obtained from the marine forecasters at the Tropical Prediction Center/National Hurricane Center (TPC/NHC)TPC by calling (305) 229-4425. However, these phone lines often become very busy during a tropical cyclone event and may be busy for long periods of time.

The National Data Buoy Center now offers a Dial-A-Buoy service.  Mariners can now hear the latest coastal and offshore weather observations using  Dial-A-Buoy.  Dial-A-Buoy also can read the latest NWS marine forecast, by zone,  for most station locations. Dial-A-Buoy provides wind and wave measurements taken within the last hour at 65 buoy and 54 Coastal-Marine Automated Network (C-MAN) stations.  The stations are located in the Atlantic, Pacific, Gulf of Mexico, and the Great Lakes and are operated by the National Data Buoy Center (NDBC).   NDBC, a part of the National Weather Service (NWS),  created Dial-A-Buoy to give  mariners an easy way to obtain the reports via a cellular or satellite telephone.

The Physical Oceanographic Real-Time System (PORTS®) offers toll-free numbers to obtain the latest water level, meteorological and temperature data for 10 different port areras.
