Aircraft Carrier Team One
CARRIER TEAM ONE is a concept that was developed to continually improve carrier availability performance by defining and improving common processes for planning and execution.
More than 1000 AN/UYK-43s and more than 2000 AN/UYK-44s are currently deployed in the fleet and at shore-based activities. Due to current program direction, all development activities are required to used COTS resources to reduce system procurement and development costs. Transition from existing legacy systems to COTS-based systems can be very expensive, and can have a high associated risk.
