Want to Work at NASA?

Whether you'd like to become an astronaut, a researcher or summer intern, NASA has plenty of ways for you to join the Agency's mission of exploration.

NASA's most visible employees are the astronauts, and the question, "How can I become an astronaut?" is very common. The answer depends on where you are now and where you want to go.

If college is in your future, here are some guidelines and suggestions for preparing yourself to be an astronaut.

For very young students, former astronaut Dr. Sally K. Ride offers suggestions for getting ready to be an astronaut.

If you've been through college and are ready to apply, here's how.

NASA's workforce goes well beyond astronauts, of course. We are scientists, engineers, computer programmers, personnel specialists, accountants, writers, maintenance workers and many, many other kinds of people. To see what kinds of opportunities NASA offers and find job listings, visit the NASAJobs site.

NASAJob also the place where students can find opportunities for internships, cooperative programs and summer employment.
