Release Schedule: October 2004 Company Level Imports With Data for August 2004
Preliminary data release on October 18, 2004.
Final data release on October 28, 2004.
Notice for August Data: Analysis of imports data reported to the Energy Information Administration revealed that some imports were not correctly reported on Form EIA-814 "Monthly Imports Report". Contact with the companies provided sufficient information for EIA to include those imports in the August data even though they have not provided complete reports on Form EIA-814. Estimates are included in aggregate data for August 2004 but the estimates are not included in the file of Company-Level Imports. Therefore, summation of volumes for PAD Districts 1-5 from the Company-Level Imports will not equal aggregate import totals.

Preliminary data for the most recent month are released between
the 7th and 10th of each month (e.g., August data will be released
approximately the 7th of October). It is replaced between the
23rd and 26th of the month with revised data that will be published
in that month's Petroleum Supply Monthly. There may be significant
revisions between the preliminary and published releases due
to late survey response or corrected respondent survey submissions.
For example, crude oil imports have been revised upward by as
much as 225,000 barrels per day between the preliminary and
Petroleum Supply Monthly version of this data. A final revision
of the import data occurs in June and reflects data published
in the Petroleum Supply Annual. |
