Gulf Coast Education Initiative Consortium (GCEIC)

Superintendents from the Gulf Coast Education Initiative develop a strategic plan at Stennis Space Center

The Gulf Coast Education Initiative Consortium and the Stennis Office of Education, bring together educators and administrators in a partnership to promote and support regional education improvement.

The Gulf Coast Consortium follows the model of the nationally recognized Tri-State Education Initiative, a cooperative effort between NASA and education communities to work toward accomplishment of the National Education Goals.

The Gulf Coast Education Initiative Consortium includes school districts from Mississippi and Louisiana which serve more than 116,000 students, 6,000 teachers and 200 schools.
