Payment Requestors: Correspondence

Message to Voice Response Users:

Earlier this year, the Financial Management Service (FMS) implemented the Automated Standard Application for Payments, ASAP.gov. Unlike the legacy ASAP system, which required a modem and an analog phone line, ASAP.gov can be accessed using only an Internet browser and your regular Internet connection.

ASAP.gov supports Internet Explorer 5.x, Internet Explorer 6.0, Netscape 4.x, and Netscape 7.0. ASAP.gov does NOT support Netscape 6.0. Persons needing a Section 508 compliant version for accessibility must use Internet Explorer or Netscape 7.1. The ASAP.gov website is best viewed with a minimum of 800 x 600 resolution.

ASAP.gov offers many benefits to payment requestors:

  • Payment scheduling for recurring payments
  • Ability to modify a payment request
  • Same day payment delivery via Fedwire
  • Immediate access to reports that can be viewed or downloaded
  • Templates for easy access to frequently used accounts
  • Individual notifications, homepage messages, and emails

If you would like to have access to ASAP.gov, please contact your servicing Regional Finance Center (RFC). Your servicing RFC will assist you in obtaining an ASAP.gov User ID and password.
