     The Director's Wall is in recognition of the service and dedication of leaders past who assisted in making the Minerals Management Service what it is today.  

 

Harold Doley was the first director of the Minerals Management Service from its inception til May 1983. William D. Bettenberg was the second director for the agency.  His term lasted nearly five years. Robert E. Kallman the third person to fill the role of director for MMS. Barry A. Williamson was the fourth director and the first in the 1990s.

S. Scott Sewell was our fifth director. Tom Fry was the sixth person to lead the agency.  After his term was complete, he was the director of the Bureau of Land Management.  Currently, he is the director of NOIA. Cynthia Quarterman was the first African-American and female director of the agency. Walter Rosenbusch was the eighth director of MMS.  He is followed by our new director Ms. Burton.
