Scientists Begin Validation Study of Test to Detect Recurrence of Bladder Cancer (Posted: 10/04/2004) - A three-year study to validate a test to detect the recurrence of bladder cancer has been initiated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), at 12 centers* across the United States and Canada. 3. Artificial Neural Networks Can Predict Clinical Outcomes of Neuroblastoma Patients (Posted: 10/01/2004) - Researchers at the NCI have used artificial neural networks and DNA microarrays to successfully predict the clinical outcome of patients diagnosed with neuroblastoma.
