Accessibility

How do I increase the text size on this site?

The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) is making every effort to ensure that the information available on this site is accessible to everyone; specifically, we are committed to full and robust compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act as amended.

Our commitment takes several concrete forms: Data tables previously posted in ASCII or HTML format will now also be posted in a spreadsheet format -- or, equivalently, in "comma separated values (CSV)" format. When opened by a spreadsheet application such as Microsoft's Excel* or Corel's QuattroPro*, these files can be understood by many assisted viewing technologies (AVTs). Similarly, the text in our news releases and in Survey of Current Business articles is available in a variety of formats, including HTML and PDF.

The site is intentionally very light on graphics and those graphics that are present are labeled to ensure AVT readability. Additionally, BEA employs software programs that identify and correct accessibility problems when preparing new content for the site or updating extant content.

The BEA site contains a tremendous amount of information including many complex tables. We are working hard to ensure that the web site is completely accessible but recognize that there may be remaining issues. If you use special adaptive equipment to access the Web and encounter problems when using our site, please let us know. Write to webmaster@bea.gov and we will provide the information to you in an alternate format. Please be as specific as possible when describing the information you need and the problems that you encountered. General questions and comments about our accessibility efforts are also welcomed. Please send them to webmaster@bea.gov.

Thank you for visiting the BEA Website.
