The Royalty Policy is chartered to provide advice to the Secretary of the Interior on managing Federal and Indian mineral leases and revenues.  Members are appointed by the Secretary of the Interior.  

The Committee appoints subcommittees to look at issues in-depth.  The subcommittees report back to the full committee.  If their report is acceptable to the full committee, the report is sent to the Secretary.
