HIV/AIDS and Minorities: A Guide to Federal Programs provides information on Federal efforts to address the high rates of HIV/AIDS among communities of color. Included is information on HIV programs and special initiatives serving and/or focused on minority community needs, as well as resources for obtaining additional information on funding opportunities and technical assistance. Organizational charts for major agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services are provided, as well as a quick reference guide to Federal Web sites and information clearinghouses.

Now in its third revision, the Guide is an important tool for minority community leaders, local health service providers, minority serving institutions, State and local health officials and others who are working to deliver HIV prevention, care or education services.
