Research Training Opportunities
The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) supports a wide range of opportunities for professional training and career development for students, educators, health professionals and research scientists. On the pages listed below are opportunities for training in research technique, as well as help in preparing for careers in biomedical research.

Research Training Opportunities at NHGRI:
- Professionals
College and university biology instructors, counselors, faculty-level investigators, professionals in genetics, physicians and Ph.D. researchers.
- Graduate & Medical Students
Graduates with a genetics' degree, graduates with a Master's degree, medical students and graduate level students interested in genetic counseling.
- Undergraduate Students
All grade levels of high school students bound for medical school or interested in genetic counseling.
- High School Students
Students at least 16 years of age and college-bound seniors.
