The Department of Labor's site contains a lot of information. Here are some quick tips to help the search engine narrow down the results it returns.

  • Search for one or more keywords by entering the words.

    Example: youth labor

  • Search for a specific phrase by surrounding any phrase with double quotation marks.

    Example: "youth labor"

  • Search by entering a question or concept.

Example: What is the minimum age of employment?

  • Enter your search terms in lower case. The search engine will find both upper and lower case instances of your search term in the results. If you use initial capitals (Youth Labor), only those documents using initial capitals for the words will be returned.

Example: youth labor, not Youth Labor or YOUTH LABOR
