FBI Looking for the "Grocery Store Bank Bandit" 

    The FBI is asking for the public's help in tracking down a robber dubbed the "Grocery Store Bank Bandit". He has hit two different banks inside grocery stores in the past week. The first robbery happened at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2003, at the U.S. Bank inside Albertson's, 1675 W. 18th Avenue in Eugene. The second robbery happened at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at the Washington Mutual Bank inside Fred Meyer, 650 Q Street in Springfield. 

    This suspect is unusual in that he is older, dresses well, and looks like a business professional. 

    Witnesses describe the robber as: 

White man Age: 30-45 years old 
Height: 5'7" - 5'10" 
Build: medium to slightly heavy 
Hair: dark colored, but balding with some slight greying; also a goatee 
Clothes: Black polo shirt with white trim at collar and khaki pants 

    In both cases, the robber walked into the bank and made a verbal demand to the teller. No weapon was shown or threatened in either robbery.
