Additionally, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) serves as the national clearinghouse for the US Department of Justice and is the coordination point for information about missing children. NCMEC operates a 24-hour Hotline at

a missing children Internet Web site at http://www.ncmec.org, serves as a coordination point with law enforcement agencies around the country, and provides a resource for the preparation and distribution of missing children posters.
