UCSF Research Findings on HIV Prevention for African Americans
A review by UCSF of research findings from various studies on what works in HIV prevention for African Americans are outlined in a web-based page that also includes a 2-page summary of results and recommendations. The project, supported in part by TLCA, examines study findings on HIV prevention among African Americans in four populations: men who have sex with men (MSM), injection drug users, heterosexuals, and youth/adolescents. CBOs Can Learn From Worldwide AIDS Evaluation Report: UN Guide To Monitoring and Evaluation
Specialists from Brazil, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Mexico, Jamaica, Russia, Romania, Thailand, Senegal, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, United States and Zambia collaborated to produce this comprehensive guide summarizing the best practices in the field of monitoring and evaluation of national HIV and AIDS programs at the end of the 1990s. Different functions of surveillance, monitoring and evaluation are outlined, and the main features of a sound monitoring and evaluation system are described. This report was produced by the United Nations, Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS in 2000 and includes recommendations for the future.
