Recurring Meetings

National Advisory Mental Health Council (NAMHC) meets three times per year and advises the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the National Institutes of Health Director, and the NIMH Director on all policies and activities relating to the conduct and support of mental health research, research training, and other Institute programs. Recent Council Reports include "Setting Priorities for Basic Brain and Behavioral Science Research at NIMH".

Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee (IACC) meets biannually and was formed to facilitate the efficient and effective exchange of information about autism activities, programs, policies, and research among the Federal Government, several non-profit groups, and the public.

NCDEU (New Clinical Drug Evaluation Unit) is a scientific conference sponsored by the NIMH that brings together academic psychiatrists and psychologists; research pharmacists and nurses; investigators with the pharmaceutical industry; and representatives from NIMH and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) who are interested in psychopharmacology and the broader areas of interventions and services research.

Human Brain Project Annual Conference
This year's program will feature lectures by leaders in the field to commemorate a decade of working to share vital neuroscience advances and their implications for research and education. The presentations will comment on the past and visions for the future in terms of the technological, scientific, and social opportunities and challenges we face in today's shifting research paradigm of sharing published primary data. more>>
