Minerals and Materials Information CD-ROM

The June 2003 issue of the U.S. Geological Survey's Minerals and Materials Information CD-ROM is now available from the Superintendent of Documents (see order form below). This updated product supersedes all previous issues and features the Minerals Yearbook chapters published since 1994, the Mineral Commodity Summaries publications published since 1996, and recently released quarterly and monthly Mineral Industry Surveys. The CD is an archive of the USGS minerals information website (http://minerals.usgs.gov/minerals/) and contains all material on the website as of May 1, 2003. The advantage of the CD is that it does not require a web connection, although if a web connection is available, it can be used to obtain updated information. This CD is also completely searchable using Adobe Acrobat with Search. The next two updates of this CD will be October 2003 and February 2004.
