Abstract:

This report provides information on Title VII, Section 747, of the Health Professions Partnership Act of 1998. The purpose of this Act is to eliminate health disparities among ethnic groups by educating health professionals on cultural competence, implementing programs for ethnic minorities, and communicating the need for minority health professionals. It discusses ethnic minority patient and doctor visit relations, a potential rise of healthcare costs, and includes appendices of health disparity profiles for each State.
