Combined Joint Task Force-76 is a subordinate unit to Combined Forces Command-Afghanistan. It is the operational headquarters in Afghanistan, and it is commanded by Maj. Gen. Eric T. Olson of the 25th Infantry Division (Light) on Bagram Air Field. Maj. Gen. Olson assumed command on April 15, 2004

 3rd Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment
 Romanian 281st Infantry Regiment in Kandahar
 Task Force Bronco is also responsible for provincial reconstruction teams supporting security and reconstruction efforts in Kandahar, Qalat, Tarin Kowt and Lashkar Gah

 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment of the 25th Infantry Division (Light)
 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division
 3rd Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment of the Virginia Army National Guard
 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division, along with many smaller attachments
 CTF Thunder is also responsible for Provincial Reconstruction Teams supporting security and reconstruction efforts in Parwan, Bamian, Ghazni, Gardez, Khowst, Sharona, Asadabad and Jalalabad areas.
