Isaac Don Levine was born on February 1, 1892, in Mozis , Russia. He emigrated to the United States in 1911, and became a United States citizen on April 23, 1918. He was a prolific writer, author, collaborator and ghost writer. He reported for Kansas City Star, New York Tribune, Chicago Daily News, and New York Globe. In October of 1946, Levine became the editor of "Plain Talk." The "Plain Talk" ceased publication in the mid 1950's and was replaced by the "Freeman."
