Services

  • Conduct submarine safety surveys fleet wide in nine specific areas to include: Damage Control, Deck, Medical, Electrical, Mechanical, Safety Officer, General Departmental, Combat Systems, and Diving (fast attacks only).
  • Provide Operational Risk Management (ORM) training to ships and off-crews.
  • Field fleet questions, conduct research and provide answers on all topics related to safety.
  • Assist fleet personnel in drafting submarine safety articles.
  • Publish Factual Lines About Submarine Hazards (FLASH), a quarterly periodical that gives advanced notice of safety related information.
