Hawaiian Hula was the newest dance craze at the American Corner in Gori this week. Pat Kennedy, visiting from the United States, took time out from her vacation to teach Georgians about the traditional Hawaiian form of dance known as the "hula". Mrs. Kennedy, who has been studying the hula in Hawaii and her hometown of Seattle, Washington, was able to demonstrate three different hulas and explain the meanings of different movements (complete text)

On Thursday, September 30, Deputy Chief of Mission Patricia Moller and Sharon Miles, spouse of Ambassador Miles, hosted a reception at the TMS Gallery featuring the art of well-known Georgian artist Levan Lagidze. Since his graduation from Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts in 1981, Mr. Lagidze has participated in many international and local exhibitions.
