rocky mtn national park photoWelcome to the official website for the United States Department of Agriculture Colorado Rural Development Office.  We serve residents in rural Colorado.

Affordable home ownership opportunities are provided to eligible rural residents through our Direct and Guaranteed Housing Programs.

Furnishing decent and safe rental housing options for rural residents is accomplished through our support in developing 150 Multi-Family housing complexes located statewide.  Through our Farm Labor Housing Loan and Grant Program we are able to  arrange for safe and sanitary housing for domestic farm laborers in several locations across the state.

The Business and Community Programs assist rural areas with the proper infrastructure, community facilities, and business opportunities necessary to develop and sustain healthy rural communities.

Our field offices are located within nine rural communities throughout Colorado, with the State Office located in Lakewood.  Having this local presence ensures Rural Development's dedication to promoting lasting partnerships, while assisting rural communities in achieving their goals.
