State Director Ruth Tackett presents a $507,000 ceremonial check to County Mayor Jaycee Rawlings of Humphrey County, TN (top, left). The loan and grant funds will be used to construct more than a mile of gravity sewer in Humphreys County. Pictured holding the check, left to right, are Congressman John Tanner, Field Rep. for Senator Lamar Alexander Faye Head,  Ms. Tackett, and Mr. Rawlings.  Citizens in the City of Waverly in Humphreys County, TN are proud of this colorful “Character Counts in Humphreys County” mural (top, right). City of Erin Mayor Rhyne Largent speaks at a ceremonial check presentation in Houston County (lower, left). The funds of $1,880,000 from Rural Development will be used to upgrade about 5 miles of a water transmission line, and for construction of a 500,000 gallon water storage tank. In addition, the McMillan springs water treatment plant and reservoir will be upgraded, and the booster pump station at Wolf Pitt Road will be replaced.
