Welcome to the
new and improved Internet home of the Rural Utilities Service. We are pleased
to be serving rural America, and are excited about our Agency - and our
Web site. In the past months we have been working to make our site more
dynamic with information that is updated on a regular basis.
The Rural Utilities Service is a Rural
Development Agency of the United States Department of Agriculture. Our
mission is to improve the quality of life and promote economic development
throughout rural America by administering its electric, telecommunications,
and water/environmental programs in a service-oriented, forward looking,
and financially responsible manner.
Through loans and grants, we help rural
America finance projects of electric, telecommunications, and water and
waste water. We are also a policy and planning rural advocacy agency.
We are focused on strengthening the partnership
between RUS, our borrowers and grantees, and all rural Americans who are
participating in, and benefiting from RUS programs.
