Program Responsibilities:
Beginning in 1984 Larry was an original member of the management team for the NSFs national supercomputer centers program, now known as Partnerships for Advanced Computational Infrastructure. One of those centers, the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, developed the NCSA Mosaic suite of Internet clients and servers which popularized the World-Wide Web. The development of Mosaic was funded by a group of Federal agencies under Larrys direction.
Larry is now the Program Manager for a research program in Digital Government. That program has been developed to explore R&D; opportunities in government information services. There are a number of reports from workshops the Program has funded to develop research agendas in various domains:
