2002 Suction Trap Data for Akron, CO

The following is a table of the suction trap catches at the Central Great
Plains Research Station located four miles east of Akron. Notice there were only
54 aphids caught this year among all species. Seven Russian wheat aphids were
captured. For the second year, a flight of English grain aphids came through the
end of August. Being in the field would get you covered with them. However, few
of these aphids were high enough to be caught by the trap.
