JUSTICE MANAGEMENT DIVISION
Management and oversight of
acquisition in the Department of Justice is the responsibility of the
Procurement Executive, Lee J. Lofthus. He is assisted by the Procurement
Policy and Review Group, which is organizationally located in the Management
and Planning Staff of the Justice Management Division.
The primary responsibility for acquisition
with the Department resides with the following major components: Alcohol,
Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Bureau of Prisons; Drug Enforcement
Administration; Federal Bureau of Investigation; Federal Prison Industries/UNICOR;
Justice Management Division; Office of the Inspector General; Office
of Justice Programs; and U.S. Marshals Service. The acquisition function
in most of these organizations consists of a central office as well
as local offices nationwide, with varying degrees of contracting authority.
