SUPPLEMENTAL FUNDING REQUEST

The purpose of this application is to provide the Principal Investigator (PI) the ability to request supplemental funding for an existing award.

Requests for supplemental funding must be submitted two months before funds are needed. Such requests must include:

• A summary of the proposed work.
• A brief justification.
• A budget for the requested funds.

Grantees should contact the cognizant NSF Program Officer prior to submitting a request for supplemental funding.

The following steps can be met by the PI and SRO Representative for requesting supplemental funds.

• Access "Request for Supplemental Funding" Screen
• Create a New Supplemental Funding Request
• Edit an Existing Supplemental Funding Request
• Allow SRO Representative Access to an Existing Supplemental Funding Request
• Print an Existing Supplemental Funding Request
• Delete an Existing Supplemental Funding Request

• Login to FastLane
• Access "Submit Proposals/Supplements/Update/Withdrawals to NSF" Screen
• Edit an Existing Supplemental Funding Request
• View/Print an Existing Supplemental Funding Request
• Check an Existing Supplemental Funding Request for Completeness
• Submit an Existing Supplemental Funding Request to NSF
• Return an Existing Supplemental Funding Request to the PI

Supplemental Funding Forms

Completing the Forms

The following forms are used to compose the documents for a supplemental funding request. The Principal Investigator (PI) may forward the request to the SRO before completing the request forms. However, required forms must be filled out before the SRO representative submits the request to NSF.
