- These technologies, tools, and resource information
support understanding of local, regional, national, and global resource
challenges, and provide a means to address them.
- The Consortium organizational plan integrates the
resources of NRCS and its partners to meet the needs of conservation planning
professionals.
- Provides national policy leadership and coordination for the
technical responsibilities of NRCS.
- Ensures acquisition and development of technology that meets
current and future customers' needs and Agency priorities, and responds to
needs of field office personnel.
- Provides for quality and consistency in the development and
delivery of technical products and services throughout the Agency.
- Communicates and networks internally among all members of
the Consortium- National Headquarters Divisions, Institutes, Centers,
Cooperating Scientists, and technical staffs.
- Coordinates technology activities throughout the Agency.
- Networks among external partners, such as colleges,
universities, non-government organizations, and the private sector.
