Speaker's Kit on Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Medical Care Available

The Kaiser Family Foundation has available a speaker's kit on racial and ethnic disparities in medical care. The kit is designed to promote and assist dialog to increase the visibility of this issue and provide opportunities for people to participate in discussions about racial and ethnic disparities present in medical care.

The kit, part of "Why the Difference? An Initiative on Racial/Ethnic Disparities in Medical Care," includes materials such as:

  • PowerPoint Presentation

This initiative is being undertaken by The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation and The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, in conjunction with the American College of Cardiology Foundation, the American Heart Association, the Association of Black Cardiologists, and 10 other national medical, public health, and business organizations.

The "Why the Difference"l website (www.kff.org/whythedifference) also provides online access to the full report and executive summary of "Racial/Ethnic Differences in Cardiac Care: The Weight of the Evidence," as well as to fact sheets, news releases, minority health news and event listings, and other valuable resources.
