MMS Announces Workshop Dates for Proposed Federal Oil Valuation Rule

        The Department of the Interior’s Minerals Management Service is announcing they will hold three public workshops on the supplementary proposed rule for valuing oil produced on Federal lands. The workshops are open to the public without advance reservations. A workshop atmosphere is encouraged with attendees participating in a discussion of the supplementary proposed rule. The proposed rule will be published in the Federal Register on December 30, 1999 to allow participants an opportunity to review the rule prior to the first workshop.

        The workshops locations and dates are:

Workshop 1: January 19, 2000, Houston, Texas, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Central time;
