The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has announced the expansion of the life-saving NOAA Weather Radio broadcast area in Arizona and focused on the current and future benefits of improved Earth observation during a news conference at NOAA’s National Weather Service Forecast Office in Tucson, Ariz.

NOAA has released its U.S. Winter Outlook update for December 2004 through February 2005, which continues to call for warmer-than-normal conditions in the West and Alaska, and cooler-than-normal conditions in the South and in sections of the Middle Atlantic Coast States.
