Make a Difference

What does it mean to make a difference? People make a difference by thinking of problems in the world -- whether across the globe or right in their own backyards -- and giving of their time to help solve those problems.

watching a playDoes that mean making a difference is hard work? Yes, sometimes, but it can also be very rewarding and a lot of fun! Most returned Peace Corps Volunteers will tell you that they received much more than they gave while serving in the Peace Corps. Meeting new friends, learning new ideas, mastering new skills, and gaining a sense of accomplishment are all great reasons to volunteer.

And of course, you don't have to join the Peace Corps to make a difference! Kids are changing the world every day, by getting involved in their own communities and even around the world. Here are some of their stories -- and we hope you'll share with us some of your ideas about making a difference!
