About Research Diffusion and Dissemination

Goals

The goals of the Research Diffusion and Dissemination team are to:

  • Help establish a common understanding of research dissemination, cancer control, and the challenges of designing for dissemination that bridge research, policy, and practice concerns.


  • Develop an action plan through which cancer control research can exert a more profound influence on cancer incidence, morbidity, and mortality rates by creating and disseminating evidence-based interventions.


  • Enhance the commitment of cancer control planners, program staff, and researchers to using new cancer control research evidence to guide planning, policy and practice.


  • Identify the best approaches to cancer control research dissemination that will help close the gap between research discovery and program delivery.


  • Foster transdisciplinary collaborations and partnerships that support and enhance cancer control research Diffusion and Dissemination.


  • To sponsor workshops, conferences, symposia, and other means of increasing research diffusion and dissemination.
