The Windows-based version of the Annual Percentage Rate program (APRWIN v 5.0) is an efficient tool for verifying annual percentage rates and reimbursement adjustments. This version includes relevant finance charge and APR tolerances for verifying the accuracy of annual percentage rates and finance charges on loans secured by real estate or a dwelling.

Download the program

To download for just your machine or for distribution over your network - use the single-file version. (Note:  The file size is approximately 3 megabytes.)

1. Download one compressed file (APRINSTALL.EXE) to a temporary folder on your hard drive.
2. Execute APRINSTALL.EXE to extract the files to your temporary folder.
   1. WinZip Self-Extractor program will inform you that it will unzip the file to a particular folder on your hard drive. Click the BROWSE button if you want to select a different folder to unzip the files to.
   2. Click the UNZIP button.
   3. After the files are unzipped, click the CLOSE button.
3. From the folder you unzipped the files to, execute SETUP.EXE to begin the installation program.
4. Follow the prompts.

To create diskettes that you can use to install the program elsewhere - download our three-file version and follow the instructions below:

1. Download three self-extracting zipped files (APRDISK1.EXE, APRDISK2.EXE, and APRDISK3.EXE) to your hard drive.  (Note:  APRDISK1.EXE and APRDISK2.EXE are approximately 1.2 megabytes each. APRDISK3 is approximately 640 kilobytes.)
2. Label three blank 3-1/2" high-density diskettes APRDISK1, APRDISK2, and APRDISK3.
3. Unzip the files to diskettes:

1. Unzip APRDISK1.EXE by doing the following:
   1. Place the diskette labeled APRDISK1 in the disk drive.
   2. Execute the downloaded file APRDISK1.EXE.
   3. When the WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box displays, enter A:\ in the text box beneath Unzip to Folder.  (If you are using a different drive than A:, change A:\ to the appropriate drive letter.)
   4. Click the UNZIP button.
   5. Click the CLOSE button.
2. Unzip APRDISK2.EXE by doing the following:
   1. Place the diskette labeled APRDISK2 in the disk drive.
   2. Execute the downloaded file APRDISK2.EXE.
   3. When the WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box displays, enter A:\ in the text box beneath Unzip to Folder.  (If you are using a different drive than A:, change A:\ to the appropriate drive letter.)
   4. Click the UNZIP button.
   5. Click the CLOSE button.
3. Unzip APRDISK3.EXE by doing the following:
   1. Place the diskette labeled APRDISK3 in the disk drive.
   2. Execute the downloaded file APRDISK3.EXE.
   3. When the WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box displays, enter A:\ in the text box beneath Unzip to Folder.  (If you are using a different drive than A:, change A:\ to the appropriate drive letter.)
   4. Click the UNZIP button.
   5. Click the CLOSE button.

At this point, you will have three diskettes that you can take to any PC on which you want to load the APR program. To install the program from these diskettes, do the following:

   1. Insert the diskette labeled APRDISK1 in the appropriate drive of the machine on which you want to install the program.
   2. Execute SETUP.EXE.
   3. Follow the prompts. (You will be asked to insert the other disks when needed.)
