Highway Work Zone Safety & Awareness Program for New Drivers
Co-sponsored by FHWA and the National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NTHSA), this program is aimed at heightening the appreciation of new drivers for work zone concerns and the dangers encountered when driving through construction and maintenance activities.

National Work Zone Awareness Week
Co-sponsored by FHWA, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA), this annual week is designed to bring national attention to motorist and worker safety and mobility issues in work zones. The Office of Safety web site has more information on what FHWA, State DOTs, and private sector partners do to support this important event.
