What is the Ticket to Work Program?
  Question
What is the Ticket to Work Program?
  Answer
The Ticket to Work and Work Incentive Improvement Act (TWWIIA) has a section that covers employment and a section that covers health care. Title I of TWWIIA establishes the "Ticket to Work and Self Sufficiency Program." This voluntary program provides improved access to employment training and placement services for people with disabilities who want to work.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) administers the program. You can contact SSA on their toll-free number at 1-800-772-1213 or contact your local SSA office. SSA has contracted with Maximus, Inc. to serve as the program manager for the Ticket program. Comprehensive information about the program is available on the SSA website www.ssa.gov/work.
