USDA Helping America THRIVE
through Faith-Based and
Community Initiatives |
|
“The U.S. Department of Agriculture has
a long history or working with faith-based organizations in some
of our programs. A lot of people don't realize that the Department
of Agriculture operates the school lunch program, the school breakfast
program, the food stamp program, the TEFAP program, the WIC program.
All of the feeding programs are operated from USDA. And in many
of these programs we partner with faith-based and community organizations
to deliver our services."

Ann M. Veneman
