Aerial View, Three-Fingered Jack, Oregon
Most of the area south of Mount Jefferson to Santiam Pass is in the
Mount Jefferson Wilderness,
and is traversed by the Pacific Crest Trail. Oregon Highway 22 and U. S. Highway 20 cross the
Cascade Range crest at Santiam Pass, and paved or graveled logging roads provide access around
the other sides of the wilderness area. Maps of the Deschutes or Willamette National Forest
are helpful aids in planning any tirp away from highways in the area.
