Regional Grants Management Training Seminars

In coordination with the Institute for Law and Justice (ILJ), the COPS Office holds Regional Grants Management Training (GMT) Seminars at various locations across the country. These one-and-a-half-day seminars are designed specifically for people responsible for the programmatic and financial administration of grants awarded by the COPS Office. All topics are taught and presented by knowledgeable and experienced COPS staff. Topics to be covered during the Regional GMT Seminars include, but are not limited to, the application review process, grant conditions, grantee financial reporting requirements, methods of payments, matching requirements, closeout procedures, monitoring responsibilities, supplanting, and audits.

Ten Regional GMT Seminars have been scheduled for 2004:

  • Savannah, GA, January 27-28
  • Philadelphia, PA, February 10-11
  • Cleveland, OH, February 24-25
  • Kansas City, MO, April 27-28
  • Las Vegas, NV, May 4-5
  • San Francisco, CA, May 25-26
  • Austin, TX, June 16-17
  • Denver, CO, July 6-7 (Tribal Grantees only)
  • Boise, ID, August 24-25
  • Portland, ME, September 7-8
