Carrying the Load

 Senior Airman Mike Byerwalters directs Tech. Sgt. Ray Boyea as they unload cargo from an aircraft at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan. Both are logisticians from the Air National Guard's 109th Aerial Port Flight, Stratton ANG Base, N.Y. Guardsmen from the 109th, along with Reservists from the 67th Aerial Port Squadron, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, are responsible for moving between 50 and 100 tons of equipment and supplies a day at Bagram as members of the 455th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron.
