October 06, 2003 - Attorney General John Ashcroft Presents Community Service Award to the Employee Community Outreach Association of the National Drug Intelligence Center. The Employee Community Outreach Association (ECOA) of the National Drug Intelligence Center (NDIC) located in Johnstown received the Attorney General’s Community Service Award last Tuesday from Attorney General John Ashcroft at the Department of Justice in Washington, DC.

January 23, 2003 - National Drug Intelligence Center Assessment Cites New York City as Major Drug Transshipment Area. Illicit drug trafficking and abuse of cocaine, heroin, and marijuana pose a serious threat to New York City, according to a recent assessment compiled by the National Drug Intelligence Center (NDIC), a component agency of the U.S. Department of Justice.

2002 News Releases:

November 7, 2002 - Oklahoma Drug Threat Assessment Shows Methamphetamine Production Increasing in the State. The assessment is a statewide report that addresses the status and outlook of the drug threat to Oklahoma. It measures the abuse, availability, production and distribution of illicit drugs such as methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, heroin and other dangerous drugs such as club drugs.

April 26, 2002 - OTTAWA - WASHINGTON, D.C. April 26, 2002 – The Federal Department of the Solicitor General and the United States Department of Justice today released a joint report assessing the common threat posed by the cross-border illegal drug trade.
