ATSDR announces Reasor Chemical Co. site
public availability session
in Wilmington, N.C.

ATLANTA - The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), a public health agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, today announced a public availability session on March 18 in Wilmington, N.C., to discuss community health concerns related to the Reasor Chemical Co. site in Castle Hayne, N.C.

Public availability sessions to hear residents' health concerns about the Reasor Chemical Co. site, which formerly was a wood treatment plant, will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, at the Northeast Regional Library, 1241 Military Cutoff Road, Wilmington, N.C.

Community members are encouraged to attend and meet one-on-one with ATSDR staff to discuss health concerns related to the site. No appointments are necessary, and health concerns will be kept confidential.
