USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) offers a range of programs and services to assist international buyers to locate and source products and suppliers.  FAS also offers financing options through the Export Credit Guarantee Program.

Finding Product...

u  U.S. Products (Suppliers) On-Line - This on-line searchable database is used to find suppliers of U.S. agricultural products.  The search capability allows a user to search different options to select specific products.  Looking for products such as wheat from Kansas or organic apples?  This is the first stop to find the right match to meet your needs!

u Export Directory of U.S. Food Distribution Companies - Looking for a U.S. food distributor?  The purpose of the Export Directory of U.S. Food Distribution Companies is to provide a list of U.S. suppliers of mixed containers of grocery products and food service products to potential foreign buyers.  Looking for a container with diverse products?  Looking for a full-line supplier?  This is the reference to use!

u FAS Partners' Product Supplier Databases - In addition to the FAS U.S. Suppliers List, many FAS partners also offer on-line directories.  The Department of Commerce also offers a database and matchmaking services (for agricultural products and non-agricultural products) at http://www.BuyUSA.com.

u Buyer Alerts - Distributed to buyers worldwide, the FAS Buyer Alerts Electronic Newsletter provides information on qualified U.S. Suppliers of food, farm, seafood and forest products.  This monthly newsletter (updated biweekly) enables importers and buyers to browse for new products and suppliers.  Each edition provides notices that include product description, company name, and contact information.  Interested in subscribing?  Contact your local FAS office. Some local FAS overseas office have on-line registration forms

Ads can also be viewed on-line at http://www.fas.usda.gov/scripts/Agexport/BuyerAlertQuery.asp. Special Organic and Natural Product Buyer Alerts are also frequently posted at http://www.fas.usda.gov/agx/organics/organics.html.

u Trade Leads - The Trade Lead Program is an extremely efficient way for buyers of foods and other agricultural products to contact the U.S. Supplier that best meets their needs.  To submit your Trade Lead, contact your local FAS office.  They will collect your contact information as well as information about the product(s) you are seeking.  This Trade Lead will then be e-mailed to U.S. Suppliers who will contact you directly!

u Export Credit Guarantee Programs - In many countries, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) export credit guarantee programs can help make commercial financing available for imports of U.S. food and agricultural products on deferred payment terms.

u FAS Foreign Buyers List - Join the FAS "Foreign Buyers List"!  By registering as an importer in your country through your local FAS office, you can receive many of our services and be included in special promotion events.  Some FAS offices also have on-line registration forms.

u International Trade Shows and Events - Looking for a trade event in your country which features U.S. products?  The calendar contains a variety of international promotional activities, from major trade shows to smaller events such as store, hotel and catalog promotions organized by FAS offices overseas. Events supported by State Regional Trade Groups (SRTG - regional U.S. agricultural export promotion associations) are also listed. 

u Trade Shows in the U.S. - Interested in attending a trade show in the U.S.?  These annual calendars list food, farm, seafood and forest product trade shows in the U.S.

u FAS Overseas Office Directory - FAS operates offices in over 75 countries across the world and provides services for 130 countries.  Find the FAS office nearest you!  Many of these offices also have Web pages of their own.  If there is not an FAS office near you, please read the FAQ "What if there is not an FAS office in my country?"

u America The Bountiful - America The Bountiful is an on-line quarterly (January 15th, April 15th, July 15th, October 15th) publication by FAS to provide international buyers with news and information about U.S. food and agriculture products, companies and associations.
